Hi!

I’m Cindy. Welcome to my site. Allow me to introduce myself :)

I am an actress, model, TV and event host with over 28 years in the entertainment industry. I’m based in Bangkok, Thailand. Although my blue eyes and Caucasian features say otherwise, in my heart, I am Thai. I grew up in Pattaya, a cozy beach resort at the time which is now a bustling and vibrant city.   My father was a pioneer of the scuba diving industry in the region, and opened the first dive shop here 1969, so I spent most of my childhood years either on a dive boat or beneath the waves. In fact, it was because of my diving skills that I landed my first TVC at age 13.

I moved to Bangkok to finish my last few years of high school, and started working as a model. Just days after my high school graduation, I entered into the Miss Thailand World pageant, originally just for some experience, but then ended up taking home the crown. Over night, my life was transformed. I was propelled head-first into my career as a top model, actress and TV host in Thailand and around the region. Some of you may recognise me as the host of Asia's Next Top Model.

Along the way I met my husband, Byron, who’s also an actor. We were together for 7 years before getting married in 2005. A few years later, we had our first child, Leila, and our lives were forever changed again. Then the Year of the Fire Dragon came along and I blazed our dragon boy,  Aiden... that's when  things really got crazy... in the best sense of the word! I love being a mom, and love all the tears of joy and frustration that come with it. My kids make me want to be a better person and find a way to make some sort of positive difference in the world. Which is probably what ultimately led me to take on my new role… as a gender equality actvist. More on that below…

Beyond Entertainment

I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to use my platform and celebrity to do more. In 2018, I founded the #DontTellMeHowToDress social movement against victim-blaming and sexual assault. I went on to write a children’s book on the topics body autonomy and respect. This ultimately led to my appointment as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador to Asia Pacific in 2020.

I use my role as gender equality advocate to inspire, educate and to find new and creative ways to spread awareness. I am inspired by the many strong female leaders as well as so many of the untold stories of women warriors fighting for what they believe in. My dream is for my children to grow up in a world where everyone, regardless of gender, is safe from violence and offered the same opportunity to express themselves freely and fulfil their potential.
