Packing for a full day of festival fun with kids can be tricky.  It's important to make sure you have all the essentials but to be a true Rock-Star Mama, one must also be festival chic :)  Here's what I had in my bag for Wonderfruit Festival.

Keeping it practical & stylish with festival essentials.

Keeping it practical & stylish with festival essentials.

Wayuu Bag: My all-time favorite 100% handwoven tribal mochila directly from the indigenous Wayuu women in Columbia. Stylish, versatile and very comfortable to carry around all day. See @monpanama

Small zipper pouch: To keep money, ATM cards and ID.  Better not to bring your entire wallet to a festival like this.

Face Mist: This is a must-have to cool off and stay refreshed in the summer heat. Choose one with cooling ingredients such as cucumber or grape water.

Lip Balm: The sun can really take a toll on your lips, so make sure to keep them moistened. Choose a tinted lip balm with sunscreen to kip those puckers looking lovely all day long.

First Aid Kit: Better safe than sorry, especially with little ones in tow! Pack some bandaids, mosquito repellent, small bottle of disinfectant & antibacterial wipes.

Sunblock: Keep those sensitive little faces (and yours) protected! Don't forget to reapply throughout the day as well.

Water: It may a be a pain to have to make multiple trips to the bathroom, but trust me, the last thing you want on your hands are cranky, overheated kids.  Wonderfruit is all about sustainability and being eco-friendly,  so no plastic bottles allowed. Keep one of their paper water bottles on hand at all times, and re-hydrate at various drink stalls all over the festival grounds.

Fan: Cools you down during the day and keeps the bugs at bay when the sun goes down. You could invest in a battery-operated portable fan, but I prefer this oversized silk Chinese fan to stay chic & stylish ;)

Journal/Sketchbook: My personal essential to capture candid moments and memorable experiences.

There you go mama! All ready for a weekend of fun :) Enjoy!
